Should Politicians be paid according to performance?
60Many people have often claimed that they didn't know what they were signing up for, when they voted, or they chose the lesser of two evils, how that one wasn't as insane as the other. That in the long run none of them have been able to live up to the promises made to the the people.
That they have to offer a nice salary if they want to attract suitable candidates. In the end they are paid what they have been contracted at, but the people are still without solution.
Some would that it is time to scale their wage in terms of Contract to the people. Meaning that the people vote on the grad of pay at the end of term.
What say you?

The concept of accountability is foremost if we are to gain a state of honesty in those areas of government. When we stop to consider if they should be paid on merit, then the question arises as to "who" makes that evaluation and awards the money? The public is not capable of it and it certainly could not be left to other politicians. It is not a bad idea in concept but a very difficult one in practical application. One thing is for sure...they should not be paid six-figures annually and their benefits should be the same as any found in corporate America at best. Serving in Congress should be a "part-time job".
